This recipe has many versions based on preferences – kinds of vegetables, types of cheese, seasonings, etc. Some suggestions are below for a 9×13 pan.
- 2 pounds hamburger
- Chopped onions
- Chopped mushrooms
Cook hamburger, seasoned with salt. Sauté onions and mushrooms. Drain and mix together. Add the following to the mixture.
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (or homemade equivalent)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can corn (or frozen or fresh)
- 1 can French cut green beans
- 1 can peas
Pour mixture into casserole or 9×13 pan. Cover with slices of cheddar cheese. If using shredded cheese, it can cover the mixture or be mixed in. Cover the cheese with a layer of tater tots. Season with salt.
Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour.
