Dad’s Sausage Gravy

  • 1 pound medium spicy pork sausage
  • Krusteaz pancake mix
  • Half and half
  • Garlic salt
  • Milk

Brown finely-crumbled sausage until it is partially crispy. Remove sausage and set aside. Leave sausage grease in skillet. At a 1:1 ratio with grease, add pancake mix. Blend thoroughly over low heat until bubbling. Add half and half, mixing thoroughly. Continue adding half and half as gravy thickens. Season to taste with garlic salt. Add sausage, a mix thoroughly. As needed, add milk to adjust thickness.
