Cream Cheese Brownies

  • 1 box or from scratch brownie mix for 9″ x 13″ pan
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

Preheat oven, and prepare brownie mix as instructed. Grease the bottom of a 9″ x 13″ pan.

Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Using an electric mixer, beat together the cream cheese, egg, and sugar until smooth. Dollop the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownie batter. Swirl together using a knife or skewer. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.

Bake according to brownie instructions. Brownies will be done when an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan. Cut into bars, and serve.
