- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter
- 3/4 cup flour
- 6 cups milk
- 30 ounces tuna
- Salt and pepper to taste
Melt butter in Dutch oven or saucepan. Add flour, and stir until completely coated in butter. Add milk gradually, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat, stirring as it thickens. Add tuna, including water in can, to mixture. Allow to thicken. Add salt and pepper to taste. Extra milk can be added for thinner gray. Serve over buttered toast or biscuits.
