Meatballs

Meatball Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 can evaporated milk (6.5 ounces)
  • 1 cup quick oatmeal
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a flat pan. Mix together all meatball ingredients. Shape into walnut-sized balls, and place on pan. Cook for 30-40 minutes or until meat is totally cooked.

Mix sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Pour over meatballs. These work well kept warm in a crock pot. Meatballs can be served over hot pasta for a main dish.
