Peach Pie

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Dash of salt
  • 5 cups fresh peaches, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1-2 teaspoons additional sugar
  • Double pie crust

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare pie crust.

Gently mix together 3/4 cup sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, and peaches. Pour filling into bottom pie crust in pie pan. Slice butter on top of filling. Add top pie crust. Sprinkle additional sugar over top crust.

Bake for 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Turn oven down to 350 degrees, and bake for an additional 50 minutes. If needed, cover edges of crust with pie pan shields or aluminum foil to avoid burning crust edges.
